AWR-400x Advantage Radios New Firmware Compatibility and Features

We’re excited to announce a new firmware release for the AWR Advantage! While this version has already been available on the AWR-4002, it will now be included in all new shipments of the AWR-4000 as well. This update adds powerful new features, expands compatibility, and introduces important changes to wireless cloning and programming. 

New Firmware Version: FVER24LMQC 

Now shipping with the AWR-4000 (previously launched on the AWR-4002)

• ✅ FVER20LM ↔ FVER20LM and older (back to Version 9)
    
• ❌ FVER24LMQC ↔ FVER20LM (Not compatible)
    

Note: Check firmware version by powering on the radio—look at the bottom of the LCD
               screen for a brief display. 

What’s New in FVER24LMQC 

• AI Command via side PTT (requires ONE service)
    
• ALLCALLvia side PTT (ONE not required; cannot use AI + ALLCALL together) 
  • Scan must be enabled for this feature
      
• Enhanced CTCSS/DCS options for improved compatibility with analog devices
    
• Set a maximum number of channels
    
• Additional Scramble Codes for secure communication
    
• MIC Sensitivity settings (Short Menu) – Level 2 = Motorola CLS standard
    
• Expanded UHF frequency options for local programming
    
• PTT Proceed Tone now only plays on the transmitting radio
    
• Short Button Press Time customization
    
• Bluetooth RX Only (AWR-4002 only) – perfect for devices like hearing aids

• DTMF Dialing
    
• Recorder (removed in a prior version)
    
• Vibration (removed in a prior version)
   

• Roger Tone (replaced with Bluetooth RX Only)
